It is only fitting that we celebrate our progress by enabling another company to advance their industry through additive manufacturing. And in this time of uncertainty, the importance of additive manufacturing as a technology for rapid-response innovation has only amplified. Proposal Guidelines

Your application must:

  • Be structured as a written proposal or detailed narrative defining the problem being solved, the desired outcome of the AM application, and what you’d like to achieve through Project Afterburner (.doc or .ppt only)
  • Be an actual business case already in consideration for production
  • Require design optimization that goes beyond light-weighting
  • Be manufactured using the following materials AlSi10Mg, Ti64, Ti6242, Inco 625, or Inco 718
  • Fit in an approx.. 10×10 cube or 14×14 cube build volume
  • Be financially viable as a 3D printed part
  • Be solvable within a three-month timeframe

Candidates must also agree to allow Morf3D, Siemens, and its affiliates to publicize the progress of their part, the final results, and the benefits of the application.
